Annual Christmas-related post.

Well, this fits into a more general Christmas theme than 'All I Want For Christmas.' But then, I guess everyone wants Santa to visit for Christmas, so I'm shoehorning this thing I did into the theme that way! Merry Christmas everyone!

Spidey Claus - Jamie style!

I hear rumours that Jamie is starting a new career as Spiderman/Santa....

Me!

I see this months theme either being very flattering or hilarious (probably both).... thanks GILL! :P

So I'll kick it off!
And if anyone wants to shoot over to my blog, I've posted some stuff under the same theme.

Final Theme for 2013

Okay so here we go the final theme for 2013.

"All I want for Christmas"
or
"Jamie Teehan"

Our boy Jamie will be leaving us next week to pursue some magical dreams. He will be sadly missed by many in Boulder. Jamie has been with us for 10 years and has been a valued member of staff. Always a smile on his face and brought a lot to the Boulderteam. So I think the best way for us to send him off on the blog is by doing a theme just for him (well, and Christmas...after all he is a jolly fellow!). Feel free to combine the two themes!

Take care Jamie and we hope you will continue to post on this here blog when you get the chance.
*sad face*

Winner Theme No.17

Well, well, well. He does it again (que:champagne and streamers!)
The prize goes to Stephen Mcgann, well done Ste. Runners up were Pete Slattery with his beautiful line drawing of the Hipsters and Gill's Brony.
Thank you to all who posted up and a big welcome to some of our newer members of staff, Katerina and Chrystian.
Our last theme for 2013 will be posted really soon so stay tuned, it will be Christmas themed no doubt!

My Little....Brony!

My Little.... Brony.
Male fandom based around the "Friendship is Magic" cartoon.
Who said "My Little Pony" was just for girls?!?!

Hipsters

Unfortunately, I haven't finished my piece for the blog, as it's taking me... like... forever. So anyhow, here's my subculture submission... LINEART VERSION. Hipsters. Unfinished. Because they liked unfinishing before it was cool.

Love/Hate: Animating

I love animating but the time it takes to do annoys me.
So I thought it would have been a good idea as an entry for the Art Blog Contest.

So Long Fair Well.

Some of the Crew

Today is kinda a bit of a sad day here at Boulder cause we have come to the end of Season 1 of Randy Cunnigham - 9th Grade Ninja. Some of our staff will be back later in the year for Season 2, after a VERY WELL deserved break but some t'ohers are off on other adventures. We wish them all the very best in the future endeavors and thank them for all the hard slog they have put in over the 2 years.

I would also like to thank all of the "Randy" crew who have been involved right here on the blog throughout the duration of the show. You all have had strict deadlines to meet but still found the time to get involved, cause lets face it, without your art there wouldn't be a blog. I am never suprised by the standard of work and love to see what you guys have hidden up your sleeves month after month.

So, I know we are all going our separate ways for now. I will keep the blog running on a monthly basis either way. A new theme on the 1st of each month. So stay tuned. But we will be back in full swing when we revamp for Season 2 fo' sho. Once you have worked in Boulder you are always welcome to post, whether you are in the country or not...we would love to have ye.

All best you lovely lot of SUPER talented people, I'll miss yiz!!!

Theme 15 Winner

She does it again...and it kinda speaks for itself. For her second win in a row Anita Gaughan takes home the first prize. Followed in joint 2nd by Sophia Daly and Rory Wolahan with Aine McGuinness in 3rd place.

Thanks as always to all the rest of the Artists who popped a piece up. It is getting harder and harder to decide each month!

The Collector

Of course this isn't a really late submission for the Ghostbuster theme, dunno what you're talking about! Apologies about the poor photo quality, the scanners on the blink.

Gorgon the Guinea Pig

Not sure exactly what chain of thought let to this. I was thinking of mythical creatures and Medusa came to mind, then I somehow ended up looking at long-haired guinea pigs, and one thing led to another.

Rebacca

So it was Rebecca's birthday this weekend and while wishing her a happy birthday on facebook I misspelt her name which led me to think of this fantastical creature. A mixture of Rebecca and Chewbacca complete with a rebel alliance pony!

Sherlock Holmes 2013

It's a Unicorn, I swear

What I thought unicorns looked like when I was a kid.
It felt like it was missing something so I added the rainbow

Flippin Doozer!

Love Doozers so I do!

Chef and Guseppe

Here is Ana Bucjacz submission. The Swedish Chef with his favourite Guseppe Arcimboldo. She must have forgotten to post it before she left us for greener pastures over in Spain. Ana could always be heard laughing away at something as you walked through the studio. She will me missed and Boulder wishes her all the best!
