So Halloween is coming up and I know one person who'll be more excited than most. So here's a shout out to our resident horror fanatic miss Louise Skinnader. Piss take of the recently released horror Sinister just in case anyone doesn't get it.

So This is My entry for this months blog...Which is "All Hallows Eve".Since The western premiere of Randy Cunningham 9th Grade Ninja has come out I thought I might draw the Evil Sorcerer!But he looks a lot like Voldemort!

All Hallows Eve

The new theme for the month of October could only be "Halloween". We were gonna pick a specific spooky theme but there were too many deadly ideas knockin about so this way you can really interpret it to suit yourself. We had Werewolves to Slasher movies to the Supernatural Zombie Apocalypse' so how could we decide really????

The prize for this one is EXTRA special and will be decided before the Halloween extravagnaza Fancy Dress Party!

Remeber: you can enter as many pieces as you like, be as crazy as you like, use whatever media you like. Can't wait to see what you guys come up with....It's gonna be a good one, I can tell.

He did this with a broken collar bone injury and all....his heroes would be well proud. Nice job Mick Plummer for being the winner of last month "Childhood Heroes". It was a very close call with just one vote between them. So congradulations to Aine McGuinness and Manuela Gualtieri for their great pieces too. We are not forgetting the rest of you either great work everyone and thanks a million for posting each month.
Oh and an extra special thank you for our youngest EVER blogger Jonah. Great stuff little man.

Childhood Heroes!

I was a big fan of the WWF Hasbro toys when I was a kid. These guys were some of my favourites. Especially The Natural Disasters tag team, Earthquake and Typhoon!!

I can't remember how long my Turtles phase lasted but it was long enough for me to have a lunchbox and pyjamas!

My favourite manga character ever. She's an alien, she can fly, and she strikes her boyfriend with electric shock attacks whenever he flirts with other girls :D

Fievel Mousekewitz!




 

I asked Santa for a suprise one year and when I came downsatirs Christmas morning there was Fievel sitting on the side of the couch waiting for me.
I honestly nearly choked I was so happy. Best present I ever got in my life. After seeing an American Tail I was obsessed. I brought Fievel everywhere, still have him!!!

Childhood Hero....

..... depends what day of the week it was.

A long time ago... I had a childhood hero

So here's the guy I imagined myself to be, running through fields in a time long past, in a galaxy far away...

While most older brothers would torture their younger siblings, Mike would always let me join in. The only problem was keeping up.... (My haircut and the cloths are unfortunately accurate).

So while I was working on this months theme (which I never managed to get finished) my 3 year old Jonah wanted to do one too and here's his contribution to this months hero theme, suprisingly not Spiderman, but his Daddy. Bless.

Hitchcock

Since nine years old when I saw Psycho Hitchcock has been a hero of mine. Quick quick one, you can tell!

Simba was my dear hero! (I was 7 ok??)

lion king was my hero (pretty lame I know...) had music cassettes, VHS and posters everywhere in the room and (the biggest secret of all...had a dance group where we used to dance to the songs!)

The guy I grew up basing my life on was The Fall Guy! Fell a long way short though! Ha Ha!

I took a bit of a liberty with the idea of 'childhood hero', but I did find out about TG when I was in my teenage years, so I'm counting that as childhood.

The Animation Art Show was a whopping sucess and on behalf of everyone from Boulder I would just like to say a huge well done to Estrela, Simon and Bianca for doing such an incredible job in organising, running and creating such an awesome event.
